THE PUMPKIN MAN

IS FINALLY BECOMING A FEATURE

AFTER 7 LONG YEARS

The Pumpkin Man is finally getting the feature length treatment I've always felt it deserved. This film has been in the works for so long, but the stars aligned and with the right people involved, this finally became a reality. The film will be done by October 2022 and will be screened at festivals across the country. You can keep checking here for screenings near you! But below is the journey of this film, so follow along as we update how we're making this thing!

FIRST, THE LAST

What better way to start other than talking about the making of our last project, which inspired the feature. "The Pumpkin Man: Demon of Fall" is a reboot of the original "The Pumpkin Man" (2016). It is serving as the basis for our new chilling tale!

LET'S TALK ACTING

You can't make a film without talent, and Sylvia Muchmore lends her amazing talent to the role of Jenny Scott in Demon of Fall. She fills us in on how she prepared for the role and what her transition from stage to screen was like.

WOW, OKAY... NOW THAT'S A POSTER!

For this film, I knew the poster had to be something special. I knew I wanted this poster to blow every other poster for our previous films out of the water. Luckily, Casey Booth was up to the task. I sent Casey, of Casey Booth Art, a rough sketch of my idea. He instantly got what I was going for and just went crazy with it! This poster means more to me than most people could probably realize. For the first time, by just the poster alone, this film feels real. It's so bold and enticing, beckoning those who see it to come learn the tale of the demon of fall!

PRE-PRODUCTION

Pre-Production is never fun... let's be honest. However, Pre-Production of a feature film brings so many new challenges that I had never thought of when we were making features. But pushing yourself to grow is always the best way to move forward, and forward we have gone!

DAY ONE OF SHOOTING

Day one of shooting was not a very involved shoot. However, that's not to say it wasn't without it's challenges. We decided to shoot in a relatively small space which can sometimes be a challenge when it comes to lighting. This was a night scene, so we wanted some awesome moonlight coming in through the window. This is where a battery operated LED panel really came in handy. We threw that outside shining in and boom! Moonlight.

THE TEASER

Who knew the first teaser would be here so early? I wanted our teaser to just be a scene. I feel too often trailers get put out that give you nothing but the title of a film and I wanted to offer a bit more than that. I feel like this teaser almost even serves as a 2 minute short film!
